One of a series of drawings/paintings inspired by transient aspects of the physical world, phenomena that can exist visually as abstraction, recognizable subject, and embody metaphorical or symbolic possibilities. Ephemeral occurrences, both sublime and unassuming, can disclose the nature of human experience and perception. These pieces explore the moment. By distilling imagery from a subject with a variable degree of visual flux, I aim towards an examination of rhythm and poetry.
